Betting sports with no spread: The puck/run line
In spread sports, the line prediction is a pretty accurate representation of what to bet. This is because the variation is in the spread, while the odds are kept close to even. The Line Prediction takes the spread into account so this is consistent.
In non spread sports, the variance is in the odds, not a spread. For these sports the bettor is offered what is called a run line or a puck line. In response, the USAS adds an additional calculation to determine when these options are worthwhile bets.
How to read a Puck/Run(PR) Line
If the PR Line field has a 'No', then we see no oppourtunity for that type of bet on this game.
If the PR Line field has a 'Yes', then the Line Prediction Team is a good run bet, based on the predicted score, deviation, and rate of return on your bet.
Sometimes the Line Prediction and the Odds Prediction are on different teams. Always read a 'Yes' the same as 'The team listed in the Line Prediction column is recommended @ the Puck or Run Line', then read the odds value as the value of this puck line bet.
